I don't remember really celebrating this holiday in VA, but in Chicago, it's quite a to-do!
Dave and I were at the Chicago River this morning to watch them dye it green, but skipped the parade for the green lemonade at Chick-fil-A. We're so wholesome, aren't we?
We also made a quick visit to the zoo (to visit our sloth friend, of course).
It's pretty wonderful to be walking around the city, on St. Patrick's Day, without a coat on. I can't remember ever doing that, usually I'm freezing and miserable by the time I get home. No complaints, here!
So, yes, work is keeping me busy, but I hope I'll be updating the shop soon with some new ideas. I want to make sugar skull (Day of the Dead) pendants, and I'm also thinking about doing something with vintage photographs of people. I've collected photos of other people's families for a long time, it's about time I do something with them (other than hang them on my wall, which always leads to a long explanation of how, no, they aren't my family, and I don't know who they are).
Also, have you discovered tophatter.com, yet? It's fun, and addicting, so be careful! ;) I will have a necklace listed in the jewelry auction on Tuesday (5pm PT), we'll see how that goes... The products can be a little silly at times, but once in a while you come across a great deal, so if you're into that, and a fun fast-paced auction style purchase, check it out!
