What I'm Eating... Bread, Cheese & Salami

My 'fella and I finally made it to the Chicago French Market!  After browsing a bit, we bought some creamy cheese, a loaf of asiago pepper bread, and pepper-encrusted salami, and sat down to eat.

After we had stuffed ourselves with this feast, we still found room for a latte (me), chocolate ganache torte (shared), and a cannoli (me, again).

It's too bad we couldn't break out a bottle of wine with it, but I can still see this being a future date-night location.  We were daydreaming about when the weather will be nice enough to make a picnic and bring it to Grant Park.

We walked back towards State Street after lunch, where we saw these kids skating, and snapped a few shots.

What I'm Eating... Sarpino's Pizza, Cheese Bonanza

This isn't what I'm currently eating, it's what I was eating around this time last week.  Just looking at it, though, makes me really wish I had a slice (or two, or three)!

What I'm eating... Cheese Grits (& coffee, of course)

Now this is an old favorite, I remember enjoying cheese grits for the first time at my best friend's house, when I was probably in the fourth grade.  Her stepdad was a true Southern man, and like many true Southern men, he could make one heck of a breakfast.

My grits aren't as good as his were, but they were still cheesy and delicious and warm and yummy!
