Current Projects

Ooh, I'm excited about this one!  Chicago, rep-re-sent!

Chicago Loop Pendant
I've also got a Lincoln Park, Wrigley Field, Sears Tower, and Northside Red Line "in the cooker" (that is to say, curing under a Mason jar).  I can't wait to start listing these in my Etsy shop!  But for now... I'm waiting the 72-hours they take to set... and waiting, and waiting...  Patience isn't my thing, but I'll have to get over it.

Also, does your lover make you nutty?  I know mine does...

Nutty Walnut Heart Pendants
Yup, walnut hearts.  That's how we do it around here.

I'm trying to come up with silly names for them:

Hoard Your Love, Squirrel-Style;
Storing Love for the Winter;
and the ever popular,
Wear Your Nuts Around Your Neck

That third one might not fly...

New Project - Walnut Necklaces

I'm working on an interesting project, we'll see how it turns out... So far, it's been a little messy.  I think tomorrow I'll see what I can add to them to make them more like mini-dioramas.  Until then... walnuts, toothpicks, and resin.  ;)

Meanwhile, tonight it's Ike reminding us of the importance of having a place to rest our chin.

Chalkboard Jars

I'm going to toot my own horn, here, because I happen to think this idea is 110% awesome.

Chalkboard Jars

When I made the first one (directly above and below), I had the patience to tape it off, so I got a cleaner border, but it's really not necessary.

I wanted a better way to store leftovers -- this way, I can write the contents and the date they went into the fridge on the jar, and then erase it and re-use it.

Of course, they could really be used for anything!

What I'm Doing... Crafts

Okay, well, I'm not really doing crafts... not really... but I'm fixing some things, in case I want to do them.  :)  These stamps needed to be super-glued back together, and I finally found little glue sticks to fit my smaller glue gun.

This is my little "office", space carved out of a walk-in closet.  It might not look like much, but considering how small this apartment is, I'm doing well with this space!  Dave helped me by taking his clothes out of the closet, so although its now full of my clothes... well, I happen to think mine are prettier.

The other night I was in a fit over wanting to do something creative, so I made this little diorama.  The story is... the three bears got "Uncle Ted" drunk, and he fell out of his chair.
